Keeping the energy inputs local benefits the environment here in the Cowichan Valley, and keeps resources close to home. The Island Shire is 400 meters east of Highway 1, on the north side at 1967 Koksilah- our farm stand has a blue roof.

The Cowichan Fish and Game Association. Our members have developed the Cowichan River Trail and maintain the 5 km of trail closest to our club house. This trail, which is now within Cowichan River Provincial Park, is open to the public with our association providing access to one of the trailheads and a heated public washroom.
